Atlanta Motor Speedway Partners with 35 Fan-Friendly Hotels
HAMPTON, Ga. (July 28, 2010) – Atlanta Motor Speedway has increased its list of fan-friendly hotels to 35 local partner hotels for the track’s Labor Day NASCAR night racing weekend.

February 3rd was the 11th annual NASCAR Media Day down in Daytona Beach, Florida. Approximately 300 members of television, radio, internet and print media attended the event held just outside Daytona International Speedway to interview more than 50 drivers across NASCAR’s three national series – the Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series.
NNS: Kyle Busch All but Locks Nationwide Title, But Leaves Track Angry
Kyle Busch finished ninth in the next to last Nationwide Series event of the season, as a result he has all but clinched the championship. As long as Busch is able to start his car next weekend he will take home the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship… So why did Kyle blow off the media in his latest hissy fit by leaving the track immediately following the race?
Danica Patrick: Rumors are True
According to Tony Stewart after his press conference today, Danica Patrick is making the move to NASCAR. It has been known that she has been visiting Stewart-Haas and other facilities lately, and Stewart confirmed that they have talked quite a bit about what she has to do to make the transition successfully.
New Rule for Restarts
NASCAR is implementing a new rule starting this weekend at Daytona that will cross all major series. The restarts will be single-file in all resarts from 20 laps or less. In the past, this rule has been in effect for the final 10 laps, but in an effort to let the leaders duke it out up front by themselves, they have extended this. This will not affect the “Lucky Dog”. You will still be able to get the Lucky Dog pass until there are 10 laps or less.
Another Brick in the Hall
The NASCAR Hall of Fame that is under construction and scheduled to open in Charlotte early 2010 has kicked off a Commemorative Brick Paver program. Yes, you too can have your own “exhibit” within the Hall inscribed with your witty pearl of wisdom you thought up all by your lonesome after about the seventh beer and the tenth wreck watching the Atlanta race.
