What To Watch For: Emory Health Care 500 In Atlanta
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is coming off of it’s last bye week of the year. In the off week however the NASCAR Nationwide Series kept us on the edge of our seats with a thrilling photo finish at Montreal. However this week is a totally different beast as NASCAR rolls into one of the fastest tracks on the circuit Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Emory Health Care 500.
Here are five things to keep an eye on this weekend.

NSCS: Did Kyle Busch’s Attitude Overshadow Amazing Feat?
Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway Kyle Busch cruised to a record-setting performance, the likes of which has never been seen before in the history of NASCAR.
Busch swept the entire week of events at arguably NASCAR’s most difficult track.
However did his attitude overshadow his amazing accomplishment?
NSCS: THAT. JUST. HAPPENED. – History Made at Bristol
Whether you are a Kyle Busch fan, or not, the fans witnessed a historic event when Busch became the first driver in NASCAR history to win all three national series races in the same week. Busch won the truck race on Wednesday, out dueled Brad Keselowski to win the Nationwide race on Saturday and completed the sweep by taking his No. 18 Doublemint gum Toyota Camry to victory lane on Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway.
NNS: It’s the Kyle Busch Show Again at Bristol
Kyle Busch came out on top after a battle with his rival and series point leader Brad Keselowski to win the Food City 250 Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. The two raced side-by-side for 10+ laps when Busch appeared to have cleared Keselowski but Busch’s car got a little loose and Keselowski made contact with Busch.
NSCS: First practice at Bristol
he IRWIN Tools Night Race first practice is complete at Bristol Motor Speedway with some definite surprises. David Gilliland shocked the field laying down the fastest lap early in practice and hold that top spot throughout the two hour practice session. Gilliland was a full second faster than the second spot with a speed of 120.543 mph.
NSCS: “Thunder Valley” Preview
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series thunders into Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night under the lights marking the 100th NASCAR Cup Race at the “World’s Fastest Half-mile”. Plenty has changed at one of NASCAR most exciting and fan favorite tracks since the first race in 1961 but what hasn’t changed is the “edge of your seat” action and competitive racing. Hard to imagine when the track first open in 1961 the track held just 20,000 fans on its concrete bleachers. Today the track holds 160,000 fans a remains one of the hardest tickets to find in NASCAR.
NNS: Keselowski Captures Second Michigan Win
Ninety-two miles from his hometown of Rochester Hills, in front of his family, friends, and manufacturers, Brad Keselowski took his car from the pole position to Victory Lane at Michigan International Speedway at the CARFAX 250 on Saturday.
With the threat of rain looming overhead, Keselowski took off, leading 89 of the 125 laps. Minus three laps during green flag pit stops, Keselowski led the first 64 laps, until a caution came out for oil on the track.
NSCS: Busch and Hamlin Swap Rides During Second NSCS Practice
During the second Cup practice, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch shared seats of their No. 11 and No. 18 Toyotas to see what they could learn from each other. Earlier in the day, Busch said that he only has one or two good cars in his fleet, with the same being said for Hamlin and teammate Joey Logano.
Was this the reason for the “swap?”
NNS: Brad Keselowski Doesn’t Want a Chase System in Nationwide Series Championship
Before coming over to the Sprint Cup series, Martin Truex Jr. was the last Nationwide series full-time regular driver to win the championship in 2005. Since then, Cup drivers racing in the Nationwide series have run the board and won the championships beginning with Kevin Harvick in 2006, Carl Edwards in 2007, Clint Bowyer in 2008, and Kyle Busch last year.
