May 23, 2010, NASCAR officially inducted the inaugural class. Names like Earnhardt, Big Bill, Little Bill, Petty and the Last American Hero are staples in Americana legend and lore. Today they were enshrined forever in NASCAR’s own Cooperstown.
NSCS: On A Roll? Hamlin’s Team Wins Pit Crew Challenge
There’s no denying that Denny Hamlin has been on a hot streak as of late, well Wednesday his pit crew kept the momentum going. The No. 11 FedEx team was able to beat out Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s team in the semi-finals, to give them a shot against last year’s pit crew challenge champions.
Of course the team who won the event last season is Jeff Burton’s No. 31 Caterpillar team. Hamlin’s team was able to get their car across the finish line in 23.132 seconds, which was just enough to beat the Richard Childress Racing team.

Sure Logano may in fact be the brightest star of NASCAR’s future someday, but even then he’d only be a microscopic piece of the brand new NASCAR Hall of Fame… That’s how big of a deal this place is.
The Hall of Fame itself is three floors packed with amazing pieces of NASCAR history, and amazing interactive attractions for fans young and old to partake in. I’m not going to lie, from the looks of it they have pulled out all of the stops.

Another Brick in the Hall
The NASCAR Hall of Fame that is under construction and scheduled to open in Charlotte early 2010 has kicked off a Commemorative Brick Paver program. Yes, you too can have your own “exhibit” within the Hall inscribed with your witty pearl of wisdom you thought up all by your lonesome after about the seventh beer and the tenth wreck watching the Atlanta race.
