Joey Logano gets his first Cup victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, making him the youngest driver in NASCAR history to win a race in the premier series. Many people have been complaining that he gets this win due to NASCAR calling the race with only a handful of laps left and Jeff Gordon marching towards the front.

Danica Patrick: Could She Make it in NASCAR?

Danica Patrick: Could She Make it in NASCAR?

Well every year right after the Indy 500, it becomes a big topic to talk about, will Danica Patrick make the leap to NASCAR. There is a part of me that just wants this discussion to go away, but alas, I have no control over that, so let me add to the discussion.

NASCAR’s facebook page has put the question out there, “Do you think Danica Patrick can survive in NASCAR?” Well, here is my opinion in the nutshell….no.

Does NASCAR Need Franchises To Survive?

Does NASCAR Need Franchises To Survive?

Franchising according to theorists would help pull in sponsors, because there would only be 43 Franchised teams. This would mean nobody would go home at the end of qualifying on Fridays, and would also guarantee a full 43 car starting field. Then if a salary cap is applied on expenses (like in the NFL or NBA), the power at the top of the heap would be more evenly spread.

I could not disagree more.
