NXS: Christopher Bell, Daniel Hemric Pace Practices


Christopher Bell led opening practice for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Friday at Auto Club Speedway ahead of the Roseanne 300. Bell’s lap time of 40.299 at 178.664 MPH edged Joey Logano and Austin Dillon for the top mark on the speed charts. Daniel Hemric and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top-five.


Hemric, who was fourth quickest in opening practice set the pace in final practice with a lap time of 40.262 at 178.829 MPH. Logano, John Hunter Nemechek, Bell and Reddick rounded out the fast five.
