NXS: Christopher Bell Claims Boyd Gaming 300 Pole

Christopher Bell, driver of the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing entry, claimed the pole for Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. His time of 29.398 at 183.686 MPH set the pace for the field at the 1.5-mile track.

This is Bell’s third carer pole award and the second in as many races. His first XFINITY Series pole came at Iowa Speedway last season and his last came last weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He also had five poles last season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Starting second will be Kyle Larson, who has been a top the speed charts all weekend for both the NXS and Cup Series. Daniel Hemric will start third followed by Cole Custer and Kyle Busch. In last night’s Camping World Truck Series Race, Busch was victory as he is looking for the weekend Vegas sweep.
