The young driver knows it’ll be a lot of challenging work, saying “We have a lot of work to do between now and Daytona. With the new composite body to hang on the cars and several new tracks ahead of me, there won’t be much rest between the shop, gym, and the simulator this offseason.”

Boyd who is from St. Louis, Missouri moved to the Charlotte, North Carolina area at the early age of 14 to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time NASCAR driver.

He has 12 starts between the Camping World Truck Series and the XFINITY Series. In six starts in the XFINITY Series, four of which have come this season, Boyd’s best result is a 27th place finish at New Hampshire.
