NCWTS: Gragson Fastest in Final Truck Practice

Sometimes you’re just fast, Noah Gragson, rookie driver for Kyle Busch Motorsports was fastest in final practice Thursday night; never mind the fact it was just his second day on the mile and a half circuit in a race-truck.

Gragson averaged a speed of 181.941 miles per hour on his first lap but was never able to best his original speed over the course of twenty more laps. He actually never ran ten consecutive laps during final practice.

Rival team Brad Keselowski Racing hoisted driver Austin Cindric to the second spot with a speed of 181.610 mph, quick enough to beat Johnny Sauter, Parker Kligerman and Christopher Bell, who rounded out the top-five.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular, Kyle Busch, finished happy hour sixth in the single lap speed charts but was first in the ten-lap average category with an average speed of 178.683 mph. At 177.800 mph, rookie Chase Briscoe was second quickest over a ten lap period.

Last week Ben Rhodes suffered a heartbreaking loss after the engine in his truck gave up with only a handful of laps left while Rhodes was leading the race. This week Rhodes isn’t being forgotten on the track, finishing eighth in happy hour.
