MENCS: Erik Jones and Kyle Larson Fastest In Saturday Practices


Erik Jones, Driver of the No. 77 GameStop/Prey Toyota paced the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series second practice Saturday from Richmond International Raceway. His lap of 22.367 at 120.714 MPH was faster than Kevin Harvick’s 22.491 at 120.048 MPH. Third quickest was Paul Menard followed by Chris Buescher and Martin Truex Jr.

In final practice it was Kyle Larson leading the way with a 22.675 at 119.074 MPH while Truex was second. Jimmie Johnson, Jones and Chase Elliott rounded out the fast-five.

The Coors Light Pole Winner at RIR, Matt Kenseth, was 11th fastest in the second practice and ninth in final practice.

The Toyota Owners 400’s green flag will wave on Sunday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m.
