NCWTS: William Byron Earns Pole Position For Jacob Companies 200

DOVER, Del. – William Bryon, the most recent winner in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, earned the pole for Friday’s Jacob Companies 200 at Dover International Speedway. Byron won the pole after qualifying was rained out Friday afternoon.

Friday afternoon’s qualifying was awash as an afternoon shower sprayed Delaware’s state capital for nearly two hours. The rain also washed out NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying.

Starting line-up is based on combined practice speeds from Thursday’s two sessions.

Byron, along with Brandon Jones, make up the front row. Matt Tift, Cameron Hayley, and Matt Crafton round out the top-five.

Other notable starts include: Parker Klingerman (12th), Rico Abreu (13th) and last year’s race winner, Tyler Reddick (16th),

Not qualifying for Friday’s race was Austin Cendric in the No. 2 and Norm Benning in the No. 6.
