VICS: Justin Wilson airlifted to Hospital After Scary Crash


In the closing laps of Sundayís ABC Supply 500 at Pocono Raceway, race leader Sage Karam broke sideways in Turn 1.

The 20-year-old struck the outside wall hard, sending parts of debris flying into the path of oncoming cars.

Justin Wilson was hit in the head with a large piece of the Karamís debris and has since been airlifted to local hospital for a head injury.

Karam was sent by ground to Lehigh Valley Health Center for a right-foot injury.

Following a lengthy caution period, the race was resumed with Ryan Hunter-Reay claiming the race win.

More details to follow on the condition of both drivers.
