NXS: Tony Furr Named Crew Chief for Landon Cassill

JD Motorsports announced that Tony Furr will serve as interim crew chief for Landon Cassill and the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller #01 Chevy, beginning with Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Phoenix International Raceway. This announcement comes forth after former crew chief Dave Fuge left the organization.

Furr has worked with several top organizations in NASCAR across NASCAR’s top series.

“I’m excited to have Tony come on board for this week’s race,” team owner Johnny Davis said. “He’s been around the sport for a long time and knows all the ins and outs of racing. We’ll go to Phoenix with a really good shot at doing well.”

Following the first three races of the seasons, Cassill sits 15th in XFINITY Series points standings.
