MOORSEVILLE, N.C.– Swan Racing is continuing to make strides to become a successful team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The team which bought out Inception Motorsports towards the conclusion of the 2012 NASCAR season is preparing to grow to a multi-car organization in 2014.

Late Monday morning, Swan Racing announced that Anthony Marlowe, 34, has purchased a minority interest in the organization. Marlowe is a co-founder of T-Mone and serves as the president of that company. T-Mone has been involved in NASCAR for several years. They sponsored David Reutimann while he drove for Tommy Baldwin Racing, and has sponsored FAS Lane Racing on numerous occasions over the past few seasons as well as Circle Sport Racing in 2013.

“This is a remarkable day, which for me marks the intersection of my passion for NASCAR and my dream of owning part of a professional sports team at the highest level,” said Marlowe. “I kept a close eye on Swan Racing during its inaugural season last year and was so impressed with Brandon Davis, the way they do business, and their pursuit of excellence that I wanted to be part of his Cup team for the long-haul.”

Marlowe is one of several investors within the Swan Racing organization now. Brandon Davis has controlling interest in the Toyota operation, but Bill Romanowski, the former NFL linebacker, also has a minority stake in the team. Romanowski’s Lean 1 brand served as the primary sponsor of the No. 30 Toyota piloted by David Stremme, Parker Kligerman and Cole Whitt during the 2013 season for a total of 13 races.

“Anthony is an entrepreneur like me,” said team owner Brandon Davis. “He has the same work ethic and the same approach when it comes to finding creative and innovative solutions. Anthony is the perfect fit for the team and will be an integral part of it going forward.”

With Marlowe joining the organization, it is expected that his T-Mone brand will be a primary sponsor for Whitt and Kligerman for several races during the 2014 season. Swan Racing is expanding to two cars this year, the No. 26 Toyota and the No. 30 Toyota. They have expectations of finishing inside of the top-25 in points, and that seems like a reachable goal now that Marlowe brings additional revenue to their ownership group.
