According to Tony Stewart after his press conference today, Danica Patrick is making the move to NASCAR. It has been known that she has been visiting Stewart-Haas and other facilities lately, and Stewart confirmed that they have talked quite a bit about what she has to do to make the transition successfully.

She has looked at the other drivers that have gone through the same routes and she wants to make sure that she doesn’t make some of the same mistakes that other drivers have made over the years making the move from IRL to NASCAR.

“I’d love to see her come, it would be awesome for our sport,” Stewart said.

Stewart also said that Patrick looked him straight in the eye and said that this is what I want to do and that NASCAR is where she wants to be. According to Stewart, she is going to remain in IRL and look at moving into a limited Nationwide series car before trying to make the full-blown transisiton to Sprint Cup.

Discuss this in more detail on our facebook page. Do you think that Patrick will be able to make a successful transition or not?
