Stewart and Busch: No Bad Blood

on

51st Annual Coke Zero 400

Tony Stewart was asked  today during his press conference at Indy, if he had spoken with Kyle Busch since their dramatic finish at Daytona. Stewart said that they spoke yesterday and that there is no “bad blood” between them.

But when something like that happens, you want to make sure that both guys are on the same page with what happened, and we definitely were. I mean, there was no question on either one of our parts of what happened. I mean, we were instantly on the same page with it. It’s just part of racing.

He went on to say that they both had a laugh at how everyone has made such a big deal about the whole incident.

Stewart’s main purpose for the call was to make sure that Busch was not hurt. Stewart also said that he got in touch with Kasey Kahne to check on him as well.

It was good to have that conversation with him yesterday. I was glad he wasn’t hurt. And I got a chance to see Kasey last night and make sure he wasn’t hurt, as well. It was good to touch base and make sure we were all on the same page, which we were.

Now that the air is clear, it’s off to Chicagoland. Let’s see what hot topic brews up this week.
