Andy Petree’s Comments at the Brickyard 400
Dr. Jerry Punch announced with about 30 some odd laps left that NASCAR had issued each team an additional 2 sets of tires on top of the ones already issued. He put a blanket statement out asking the resident crew chief Andy Petree, what do they do with the two additional sets with two pit stops left…
Petree answered: [parapharased]
“Well, we put them on at each pit stop.”
