Richard Petty is celebrating his 50th year in NASCAR. That is an amazing feat. His driving career began in 1958 and still holds such a presence at any NASCAR event. With his latest merger, hopefully he will be able to move back to the glory of what Petty Enterprises has been over the past few decades.

Petty’s legacy is unbelievable. First is started with Lee Petty, then Richard, then Kyle and finally Adam. Unfortunatelly Adam’s passing had diminished the Petty legacy, due to Kyle’s inability to find victory lane. But the one thing that Kyle has been able to do is to promote one of the most powerful charities in NASCAR, so maybe his calling was not racing, but philanthropy.

Congratulations to Richard, you are always one of the class acts of the sport and we all look forward to your rise back to the top with your new merger.
