Martin Truex Jr. and his team was fined 150 owner and driver points for the latest infraction at Daytona Motor Speedway. This shows that the France Family is not backing down on it’s view to the “Don’t Mess With Our Car” theory. I figured that everyone would have realized, after last years penalties, that these cars are not to be messed with. I know that the official word from the Truex camp is that they are still working out the templates, but they have successfully run these templates all year long so far and 15 some odd races last year without a penalty, so I am personally not buying that.

Give up on the cheating guys, Brian France is not going to put up with it and you are just hurting yourself. Truex, you probably wrote yourself out of the chase for good this year due to this.

I don’t blame the drivers as much as the crew chiefs. Their job is to know the boundries, and stick to them. Kevin Manion and Gary Putnam have been suspended for the next 6 races. Not only that, but Manion has been fined $100,000 for the infraction.
