Wreck-o-Rama at Martinsville

Hello everyone, here we are in Martinsville, Virginia. We just got back from the Wreck-Fest known as the Craftsman Truck Series race, the Kroger 200. Todd Bodine has allegedly been upgraded from the “Bald-Headed Little Freak” to the “Bald-Headed Little Freakin Idiot” after his bone headed moves today. Our favorite truck driver, Johnny Benson, had a horrible race, getting involved in a two car accident (that he caused) during the first half of the race. Shelly wanted to sacrifce her beverage to get debis on the track to give Johnny the “Lucky Dog” and get him back on the lead lap. Fortunately there were enough other idiots out there that enabled him to get it without having Shelly banned from the track. Once there, he crusied around towards the back of the pack, but because he avoided the idiots towards the end causing even more wrecks, he managed to finish up with a top 10 finish… 9th.

We also learned that it is not recommended to attemp to run an entire race without a pit stop. Terry Cook tried to pull the one man show, much like Lighting McQueen, and avoid both gas and tires…eventually, the tires lost that battle. He could have ended up with the win, if he had just done one pit stop about halfway. With the number of cautions created by the other idiots, he had pleanty of opportunities.

Other than that, the race was a blast and I really like this track. Now we had issues with parking and getting out of the parking lots, but that’s a whole other issue.

We are going to the Subway 500 tomorrow, so I’ll post another update for that. We’re having a blast and wish you all could be here. We’ll post pics when we get home…

BallHype: hype it up!
