Bill France, Jr. Passes Away June 4, 2007
During the race today, Mike Joy announced that Bill France, or “Little Bill” passed peacefully today around 1:00 p.m. today, after years of his battle with cancer.
Little Bill took his father’s dream and turned that vision into one of the most popular sports in America. He brought the big time sponsors, the TV time and really took his dad’s dream and ran with it.
