Shall the Silly Season Begin
Well, it’s official, silly season has started. Not only do we have the 6 and 15 car with issues, but there seem to be even more.
Here we are with Mark Martin, leaving his signature on the sport as a true champion at heart (even though his great career has not granted him a championship yet at this highest level), now he is potentially going to have to stay one more year for dear old Jack. Now Jack is trying to buy out Jamie McMurray’s contract from good old Chip, but Chip doesn’t want anything to do with that. Not only that, but we find out today that Jack is losing one of his own stable ponies the exact same way. Kurt Busch is leaving to go drive Rusty’s car. Now Kurt is in the same position as Jamie, so it will be interesting to see if Jack lets Kurt out of his contract a year earlier.
Anyway that you look at it, it has turned into quite a silly season already. Waltrip is out of the 15, of course you always have those lower fish looking for jobs, and then you have those like the few, Robbie Gordon, who may or may not be able to field his own team next year, depends on what their bottom line was. As usual, stay put and let’s see where this crazy ride takes us.
